Graphene Plasmonics: A Powerful Sensor and Pharmaceutical Analytical Tool

During the last decade, the development of R&D and innovation activities lead to large modifications in analytical tools and sensors that are capable of real-time process monitoring and providing specific production information. Especially, in pharmaceutical and biotech industries, different types of sensors such as temperature, humidity, pressure and membrane sensors are used in different processes in pharmaceuticals. On the other hand biomedical sensors are demonstrated as powerful instruments to be employed in the cancer detection, innovative drugs, new targets and better efficacy/safety requirements [1-3]. As shown in Figure 1, different types of sensors and traditional pharmaceutical sensing procedures are used in pharmaceutical industry.
